Installation

You download the App from this site and install the App using a process called sideloading. There are several good tutorials on the Internet on "How to sideload a Window 10 App". You can use those tutorials to furthur understand to steps outlined below.

Download MyHealthHistory_4.0.1.0.zip

Requirements

Make certain that your Windows 10 device contains Windows 10 OS Build 16299 or greater. The build should be the Windows 10 Fall Creator Release, October 2017, or later.

You must uninstall any prior MyHealthHistory App before you can install an new release.

You must install the application with administrator privileges.

Settings

The following outlines the MyHealthHistory application installation steps.

  1. On you computer, open Settings and go to Update and Security

  2. Under For developers, click Sideload apps.

  3. If you agree to accept the risks, then you are free to download and install apps from any source.

Un-zip the download

  1. If you have not already done so, un-zip the MyHealthHistory_4.0.1.0.zip file that you downloaded from the MyHealthHistory download page.

  2. Open the MyHealthHistory_4.0.1.0 folder extracted from the zip-file.

Laptop and Desktop computers

  1. Before installing the app, you need to add the app certificate to the Windows Certificate Store in Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.

To install the App,

  1. In the MyHealthHistory_4.0.1.0 folder, click the mouse right-button on the Add-AppDevPackage.ps1 icon.

  2. In the menu that opened, select the Run with PowerShell command.

  3. The system will then install the MyHealthHistory app unless it is not compatible with your version of Windows 10.

  4. To close the PowerShell command form, click the [X] button in the upper-right corner of the form.

Updating

To install a new realease.

  1. Backup your prior downloaded zip-file.
  2. Download the new release and un-zip the package as above.
  3. Uninstall the current MyHealthHistory version. To uninstall, with the mouse right-button, click the MyHealthHistory application icon on the Start page "All programs" list. In the the popup menu, tap the "Uninstall" command.
  4. After the old MyHealthHistory is uninstalled, install the new MyHealthHistory as discussed above.

After installing and starting MyHealthHistory, you need to select the location of your "Health History" document folder. When you install a new release, the only data saved from the prior release is the data saved in your "Health History" document folder. Re-select the prior folder and the program will restore the prior settings.
